Dr. D. Gregory Baird
Becoming a dentist was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Dr. Baird. His compassion for people and his desire to care for them led him to dentistry where he has the ability to make people feel better about themselves by creating better and healthier smiles. Dr. Baird is enthusiastic about both the artistic and scientific elements of dentistry.
Dr. Baird completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree as well as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS); he is committed to enhancing his skills through continuing education courses in areas including orthodontics, endodontics, laser technology, tooth whitening, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and the CEREC system. Dr. Baird has worked in general dentistry since 1975, and is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association (NSDA), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), and the North American Society of Computerized Dentistry (NASCD).
Dr. Baird was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, but has lived in Halifax for most of his life. He and his wife have two children and two granddaughters. The Bairds enjoy dining out with friends, followed by a Neptune performance or a Symphony Nova Scotia concert. Dr. Baird also enjoys golf, squash, tennis, travelling, and riding his motorcycle.
