Wear and Care Instructions for your Vivera Retainers
You will have 4 sets of the exact same retainers.
This is to ensure you have a replacement set if lost or if you travel and would like to take an extra set. Please keep the extra sets in a safe and memorable place. The set you wear should always be kept in the case provided when not in your mouth. Many retainers have been lost, thrown out in garbage cans and have become chew toys for pets.
Continuous lifetime wearing is important as your teeth may relapse (return to their original position). The only wat to ensure this doesn't happen is to wear your retainers on a regular basis.
- For the first 3 months after Invisalign treatment wear the retainers all day, everyday (24/7) EXCEPT while eating or drinking (Water is okay). Once the three months is complete you must wear the retainers during the night time only.
- Each retainer should last a maximum of 12 months. When you begin wearing the last (4th) retainer please contact us to order another set of 4, the cost is $884.00
Cleaning the retainers is similar to your Invisalign trays. It is very important to brush and rinse them daily. You may use the same cleaning crystals as Invisalign every 2-4 weeks. Additional products to clean your retainers can be purchased at your local pharmacy or online.
